Community Assistance-Food Pantry

 

At Calvary, we believe in the importance of assisting those in desperate situations. Calvary Lighthouse is unique from other churches in the community because it has a food pantry in-house that operates five days a week from 11am-5pm. Additionally, during special holidays, such as Thanksgiving and Christmas, Calvary Lighthouse delivers meal boxes, door-to-door, to families not only within the City of Rochelle, but throughout Ogle County, DeKalb County and Lee County. Volunteers take time to meet and pray with each family that is delivered food. Why? Because we believe in giving back to our community and furthering the gospel of Jesus Christ through love. 

 

From time to time, Calvary will also assist with gathering items of clothing for those who have undergone financial burdens or tragic incidents (such as a house fire or apartment eviction).
